Interactive whiteboard markers don't leave any permanent mark on the surface of a whiteboard. There ink adheres better and therefore can't be easily erased accidentally. Also the ink is less prone to being erase by water or other external factors.

Unlike chalks which generate lot of dust on there usage, the markers are dust free and thus not create problems for those teachers, students and asthmatic students who are allergic to chalk dust. Interactive whiteboard markers also keep the surroundings clean as there is no dust problem at all. Not only this, whiteboards can be used as a projection screen with an overhead or LCD projector for giving presentations in classes or board rooms. Interactive whiteboards can also be used as flipcharts and can also be used to store notes written on it. Through interactive whiteboards, teachers can record and post learning material for the whole class to review.
